	1972 Matura (Baccalaureate) Type B. 1979 Master in Economics (lic. oec HSG) with special focus on Tourism and Transports from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
	1995: NLP-Practitioner Diploma (Communication and Management), behavioural training, interview and negotiation techniques.
	1998: completion of the IfJ-Young Entrepreneur training and start of self- employed activity.
	1988-1992: president of the Secondary Education Board in the municipality of Uzwil: responsible for budget, finances and school construction projects as well as a reorganization project.
	1992-2001: member of the Education Board of the town of St. Gallen: project „New orientation of the organisation of education authorities“, introduction of profit centres and a systematic performance-dependent remuneration of employees.
